JAKE
Those who have a dog will understand the unconditional love and support they bring. Jake was a rescue dog and two years old when I took him home in 2006 from RSPCA Burwood East in Melbourne, Australia. He was my first dog and I had no clue. Like so many other dogs in shelters needing a second chance, he had a difficult start to life. Together we worked it out and it was worth every bit of the time and patience.
Jake was very smart, loyal, and a handsome cross between a red heeler and a corgi, the best of both. He loved life, was great fun and was a happy traveller.
Dogs know when we are having a tough time. Jake stayed close by my side, a constant companion through good times and bad. He passed in 2022 aged 18 but is always in my heart.
Music has and will always be a joy and lifeline for me, and so was Jake. It is only fitting that they both come together for my first song release as a tribute to him.
